Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles in a safe and lawful manner.
Transport goods and materials to designated locations according to delivery schedules and planned routes.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
Load and unload cargo safely and securely ensuring items are properly stowed to prevent damage during transit.
Maintain accurate records of trips working hours fuel consumption and all necessary transport documentation (e.g. logbooks delivery notes fuel slips).
Communicate effectively with dispatchers fleet controllers and customers providing updates on delivery status and potential delays.
Adhere to all local state and federal traffic laws and transportation regulations.
