About the Role
Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for logistics coordination and operational excellence Were seeking a Yard and Logistics Manager to oversee our yard operations ensuring that every truck and team member operates in perfect sync. Youll be the driving force behind an efficient safe and well-organized yard that keeps production and delivery goals on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Yard Operations: Oversee the daily flow of goods from sorting and staging to dispatch ensuring timely accurate and damage-free deliveries.
- Stock Control Mastery: Maintain precise stock counts manage rotation (FIFO) and coordinate with quality teams for accurate grading and reporting.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate yard staff manage attendance and performance and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Equipment Oversight: Ensure forklifts and other equipment are safely operated maintained and efficiently utilized.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Drive a zero-incident culture by enforcing safety procedures maintaining spotless yard conditions and promoting compliance at all times.
- Collaborative Communication: Work closely with production sales and logistics teams to keep operations aligned and running smoothly.
What Youll Bring
- Proven leadership and people management skills in a logistics or yard environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Solid understanding of material handling logistics and safety regulations.
- Forklift license or experience is an advantage.
