Training is provided by the company on SIEM/SOC and VAPT. Any IT Related or Engineering degree is mandatory we welcome candidates that have recently qualified with a IT Related or Engineering degree 2024/2025. Based at Umhlanga Security Operations Centre.
Duties & Responsibilities
Primarily providing and responding to 1st and 2nd line Security Operations Centre support incidents and requests utilizing SIEM/SOC and the helpdesk ticketing system
Create and analyze security policies and procedures to determine weakness in infrastructure security and complete a thorough audit of existing measures
Anticipate data breaches by ethically hacking into the companys secure systems while determining future flaws and their prevention
Become a Certified Ethical Hacker to legally utilize tools of malicious hackers to improve companys security posture
Monitor network traffic as an intrusion prevention specialist to detect possible threats and respond to threats immediately as they occur
Understand reverse engineering to have a thorough knowledge of malware analyzation and bug patching on various software platforms
Prevent crime by collecting and analyzing computer forensics data to enable a creation of evidence in the event of a security breach
Minimize negative impact of security breach by shifting security measures for future prevention and creating information assurance and firewalls
Troubleshooting cyber security alerts / notifications / breaches
Communicating and liaising with internal staff on cyber escalations and breaches
Ensuring compliance and understanding of the IT Security policies
Ensuring security of IT infrastructure
Desired Experience & Qualification
Ability to provide email/telephone support to remote/users of all levels
Good communication and outstanding customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to work well with others as well as independently.
Attention to detail.
Willing to work after hours shifts and available on Standby.
