Job Summary
- Assist with research on insects of veterinary importance in the fieldincluding Black flies Culicoides Stomoxys Tabanid and Tsetse flies.
- Assist in the maintenance and administration of the ARC-OVR tsetsecolony.
- Take irradiated blood for bioassays and interpret the results
- Update weekly tsetse colony mortality database.
- Assist Researchers during field trips with trap deployment fly collectionmanagement.
- Responsible for maintaining infrastructure and facilities.
- Responsible for training interns and providing support as needed.
- Adhering to all Safety and GLP rules and regulations.
- National Diploma in Veterinary Technology.
- B-Tech: in Veterinary Technology will be added advantage.
- Professional membership: SAVC registration is compulsory.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- A drivers licence will be an added advantage.
