Were currently seeking an au pair who embodies qualities of patience flexibility and adaptability. The ideal candidate will be young and vibrant able to thrive in creative activities and outdoor adventures similar to the interests of this 17-year-old neurodivergent girl/teenager with PDA. Its essential that the au pair shares a sense of calmness and open-mindedness demonstrating strength without taking things personally.
Main Purpose of the job:
To be a helping hand for her unique and specific support needs giving her the necessary guidance and support to thrive. A special interest and passion in neurodiversity and to be a secure long-term source of support is of the utmost importance.
Job Objectives:
To collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support her individual needs if and when needed.
Providing companionship and emotional support for her at home.
Support and scaffolding for her regulation needs (using PDA/nervous system safety friendly accommodations).
To carry out duties such as school pick-ups taking to extra mural activities appointments preparing lunch/dinner together planning outings and activities to do together.
Supporting the understanding of her individual differences: her sensory profile executive functioning (planning organising etc.) and her autism and PDA accommodation support needs.
Occasional baby-sitting.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday: 13:00 17:00 or 14:00 to 18:00 depending on schooling.
