Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate analytical and dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our interdisciplinary team in Chattanooga TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing implementing and monitoring individualized applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment programs for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments supervising RBTs and other staff and providing essential training and support to families and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Assessments:Perform initial and ongoing functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill acquisition assessments to identify client needs challenges and strengths.
- Develop Treatment Plans:Design and develop individualized evidence-based behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans with measurable goals modifying them as necessary based on data analysis.
- Supervise and Train Staff:Provide ongoing supervision coaching and performance feedback to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) BCaBAs and other direct care staff to ensure treatment fidelity and professional development.
- Provide Caregiver Training:Conduct training and provide support to parents teachers and other caregivers to promote skill generalization and long-term success in various environments.
- Data Analysis and Documentation:Collect graph and analyze data regularly to monitor client progress evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaboration:Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team which may include teachers speech therapists and medical professionals to ensure coordinated and high-quality care.
- Compliance and Ethics:Maintain accurate and timely documentation session notes and reports in compliance with BACB guidelines state licensure requirements and HIPAA regulations.
- Professional Development:Stay current with the latest research techniques and findings in the ABA field through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education:Masters degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis Psychology Special Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification/Licensure:
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.
- Current Behavior Analyst state licensure in Tennessee (and potentially Georgia if working across state lines in the region).
- Experience:A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavior disorders preferably in an ABA setting.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy compassion and professionalism in all interactions.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to manage a caseload efficiently.
- Proficiency with data collection systems and general office software (e.g. Central Reach Microsoft Office Suite).
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license for travel to various client locations.
Job Requirements:
- BCBACertification from the National Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) / BCBA
- BCBA must also be an LBA or be willing to become an LBA / Licensed Behavioral Analyst in the state of TN
