Job Summary
Field Polishing Technician (Chemical / Electro Polishing)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Travel to various client sites (nationwide)
Status: Hiring 35 candidates
Overview
The Field Polishing Technician supports onsite chemical and electro polishing operations at client locations including refineries pharmaceutical facilities and manufacturing plants. Work involves both external and internal tank cleaning often in confined spaces under a strict safety-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist with onsite cleaning and polishing of tanks vessels and piping systems
- Set up connect hoses and assist the Supervisor during field operations
- Perform confined space entry (inside tanks) as required typically 1824 openings
- Operate safely in hot enclosed environments with full PPE (suit respirator etc.)
- Travel to job sites nationwide trips may last up to a month or longer
- Maintain equipment ensure cleanliness and safety of job sites
Pay & Travel
- Per Diem: $65/day (ACH direct deposit)
- Travel: Flights hotels and rental cars covered by company
- Physical / Environmental Requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to perform confined space work
- Capable of working in hot enclosed environments for up to 34 hours
- Comfortable wearing respirators and full protective suits
- Rare but required confined space entry
Qualifications
- Highly Preferred Backgrounds:
- Pipefitters welders and mechanical helpers
- Industrial or chemical plant experience
- P&ID or process flow familiarity
- Oil & gas chemical or pharma work history
Big Plus:
LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
Confined Space Entry Certification
Requirements
- Must be willing to travel extensively (long trips sometimes during holidays)
- Drivers must be 25 (insurance requirement)
- Complete open availability for travel and shifts
- Must have a curious and adaptable attitude plans can change frequently
- (7-year background check in-house drug screen)
- Strong safety awareness 11 years with zero recordable incidents
