The Role

CIPs Growth Markets Fund (GMF) is dedicated to driving high-impact renewable energy investments across both project and platform levels targeting select developing and fast-growing economies worldwide. Our investment team combines deep expertise in development financing and M&A united by a core mission: to source structure and deliver transformative projectsultimately creating value from inception through exit.

As an Intern you wont just observeyoull play an active role across the entire deal lifecycle. From shaping investment strategies and building financial models to supporting development construction and divestment phases youll gain hands-on experience that matters.

Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:

• Presenting technical and financial data in a clear and engaging format for stakeholders
• Supporting investment activities through financial modeling valuation and deal structuring
• Conducting market research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities
• Collaborating with industrial partners and external advisors throughout the investment process
• Engaging in a dynamic learning environment focused on personal and professional growth

This is a fixed-term position based in CIPs Kuala Lumpur office where youll be continuously challenged and supported in your development. The role is open to both international and local university students who require internship credits to graduate and we prefer candidates who can commit for longer than 6 months ideally up to 1 year.

You

We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Economics Business Engineering or related disciplines with a strong connection to renewable energy investment.

We look for the following in a candidate:

• Demonstrates top academic performance strong analytical skills and a proactive work ethic
• Communicates effectively in English and thrives in team environments with attention to detail
• Shows genuine interest in corporate finance strategy and M&A with a curious and creative mindset
• Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint; multilingual abilities are a plus
• Available full-time and capable of working independently with a can-do attitude
