Job Summary

Overview /Objective:

The Sr. Coordinator supports day-to-day accounting operations ensuring accurate processing adherence to policies and timely period end close activities. The role works closely with Management to maintain compliance and drive process efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the period-end close process for various League corporate departments and ensure closes are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare and review financial reports (both internal and external) for league corporate functions providing insights and variance analyses to leadership for data-driven decision-making
  • Understand the primary contract clauses that impact the accounting for given areas
  • Work closely with corporate finance team to understand budgets and account coding for applicable league corporate departments
  • Maintain an accurate general ledger including recording account code changes where necessary
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards (e.g. GAAP/IFRS) and internal control frameworks
  • Interact with Global Shared services to identify close process efficiencies and reporting enhancements
  • Provide close process results visibility to the League Corporate finance team including key variance drivers
  • Oversea the balance sheet reconciliation process for applicable league corporate departments
  • Manage business challenges that may be broad and complex

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent education
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Oracle Cloud ERP or similar experience a plus
  • Blackline or similar experience a plus
  • Extensive experience in accounting record to report processes and period end close
  • Strong problem solver and decision-maker with a deep business knowledge the ability to deliver results in an agile fashion and flexibility and adaptivity

Terms /Expected Hours of Work:

NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. Indicate whether the role will require overtime (time worked more than 40 hours) and/or weekends. Note* If your position will work under 30 hours per week they should be part-time. FLSA** If an employee will be paid hourly they will be non-exempt and if they are paid a salary they are exempt.

Salary / Pay Range
