Job Summary

Summary:

We are seeking experienced Painters. This role is essential for delivering high-quality protective and decorative finishes on buildings structures and industrial equipment. Painters play a critical role in ensuring durability aesthetic appeal and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The position involves a range of tasks from surface preparation to application using various techniques including brush roller and spray painting. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented safety-conscious and capable of working efficiently across diverse residential commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by cleaning sanding repairing and priming to ensure optimal coating adhesion.

Apply paints stains varnishes and protective or decorative coatings using brushes rollers or spray equipment.

Mix and match paint colours to achieve accurate colour matching and consistent finish quality.

Install wallpaper or vinyl coverings as required for decorative finishes.

Operate maintain and troubleshoot spray guns compressors and other painting tools.

Comply with all health safety and environmental regulations on-site.

Collaborate with supervisors clients and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Maintain a clean organized work area and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements

Requirements:

Trade Certificate or formal training in Painting Decorating or Industrial Spray Painting is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in residential commercial or industrial painting environments.

Proven experience with spray painting and powder coating techniques is highly desirable.

In-depth knowledge of surface preparation coating types and application methods.

Experience working with diverse materials including wood concrete metal and plaster.

Keen eye for detail colour accuracy and finish quality.

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights safely and confidently.

Strong commitment to health safety and environmental compliance.

Starting from NZD $31.00 per hour with additional allowances
