Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager Data Engineer (Azure) Agentic AI
In this role youll be part of Genpacts transformation under GenpactNext as we lead the shift to Agentic AI Solutionsdomain-specific autonomous systems that redefine how we deliver value to clients. Youll help drive the adoption of innovations like the Genpact AP Suite in finance and accounting with more Agentic AI products set to expand across service lines.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable data engineering pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Pipelines orchestrating complex data ingestion transformation and loading (ETL/ELT) workflows across structured and semi-structured sources.
Build and maintain event-driven and batch data processing solutions leveraging Azure Databricks / Spark ensuring high-performance computation and efficient handling of large-scale datasets.
Develop secure containerized data services using Docker and deploy them across Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure App Services ensuring fault-tolerant and elastic architecture.
Implement and optimize data integration pipelines across diverse data sources SQL APIs and file-based systems leveraging ADF connectors Synapse integration runtimes and data flow activities.
Refactor and migrate on-premises or legacy ETL systems to modern Azure cloud data architectures using Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Database for scalability and performance.
Optimize data models queries and indexing strategies across Azure SQL Synapse and Cosmos DB to deliver low-latency and high-throughput analytics experiences.
Implement data security and governance using Azure Active Directory (AAD) Managed Identities Private Endpoints VNet integration and Azure Key Vault for secrets and encryption key management.
Collaborate with product and analytics teams to design end-to-end data solutions translating business requirements into efficient data models APIs and visualization-ready datasets.
Develop and integrate front-end interfaces and dashboards using Angular or React consuming APIs and cloud data services to enable interactive and dynamic data insights.
Conduct unit testing integration testing and data validation to ensure data accuracy reliability and consistency across all environments prior to release.
Lead and automate CI/CD pipelines for data and application deployment using Azure DevOps GitHub Actions and Synapse CI/CD ensuring continuous delivery and operational resilience.
Oversee production releases and monitoring collaborating with support teams to ensure minimal downtime and rapid recovery during incident handling.
Define and implement backup retention and disaster recovery strategies for data pipelines and cloud resources ensuring compliance with SLAs and data protection standards.
Participate in code reviews design discussions and architecture forums to promote engineering best practices maintainability and adherence to cloud-native data engineering principles.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) Synapse Pipelines or similar ETL frameworks.
Proven expertise in data warehousing and data lake solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure SQL Database supporting both analytical and operational workloads.
Solid programming proficiency in Python and SQL with the ability to write efficient reusable and production-ready data transformation logic.
Working experience with Apache Spark (Databricks or Synapse Spark Pools) for distributed data processing and large-scale ETL/ELT jobs.
Strong understanding of real-time data streaming and analytics using Azure Event Hubs Stream Analytics or Kafka on Azure.
Deep knowledge of data governance data quality and lineage management practices preferably using Microsoft Purview or equivalent tools.
Understanding of data security access control and compliance concepts including encryption role-based access and Azure AD integration.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data and integration issues in large-scale distributed and cloud-native environments.
Strong analytical thinking communication and stakeholder collaboration skills with the ability to translate business data needs into scalable technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Bachelors/Masters Degree-Computer Science Electronics Electrical or equivalent
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent Azure Cloud certification demonstrating expertise in modern data architecture and engineering.
