Salary:17526 pro-rata 11771

Hours Per Week:28.9 hrs per week. Term Time Only. Working hours are set between 08:45 and 15:20 Monday to Friday.

Job/Person Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate tojoin our successful and nurturing team. We are a diverse and unique school and nursery in the heart of Southsea committed to delivering excellent outcomes for all our children.

Working as a Teaching Assistant you will work under the direction of the class teacher to support and adapt learning to enable progress. This is a busy and varied role that will require the successful candidate to attend to the physical needs of the children fostering their development independence and self-reliance.

Our new Teaching Assistant will:

  • be qualified to at least level 3 in learning support (desirable) or have relevant experience
  • be willing to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of children
  • be keen to learn and want to make a difference
  • enjoy working with children
  • be able to communicate effectively on all levels
  • be able to use their initiative and works independently where appropriate

Giving first aid is a requirement of this role for which full training can be given.
