HEW 9 - $131635 p.a. plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role

You will perform a vital support role to ensure that the Corporate and Commercial Finance Team (CCFT) meets its responsibilities to ensure sound financial management planning budgeting forecasting and all internal reporting aspects. You will work closely with management in managing all internal/management reporting requirements and provide analytical support to business partners.

You will:

  • lead the provision of strategic reports insights and expert analysis;

  • lead the development of accurate budgets forecasts and outlooks;

  • develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Universitys operating environment;

  • drive continuous improvement ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs and achievement of broader team objectives; and

  • champion a cost-conscious culture and embed value-for-money principles in decision-making processes.

About you

You will have experience in working with a high level of independence using considerable initiative and providing advice to staff at senior levels. You will have demonstrated experience of financial/accounting principles and fundamentals of financial planning with experience to interpret and address diverse and complex problems and keep up to date of government policy understanding the political environment and how it may impact the University.

You will possess:

  • demonstrated expertise in financial and accounting principles with advanced capability in financial planning analysis;

  • extensive experience in financial report preparation and analysing/summarising complex data;

  • strong record of delivering high-quality outputs demonstrating exceptional organisational time management and prioritisation skills;

  • demonstrated experience and proven expertise in financial planning; and

  • demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
