EssentialFunctions Include:
Oversightof loan/grant: This position involves direct oversight of the loan/grantprogram. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Water ScienceAdministration to develop project priority lists and Intended Use Plans (IUPs)overseeing detailed credit analyses developing Financial Capability Analysis(FCAs) for all borrowers and ensuring compliance with federal and stateprocurement requirements.
OperationalManagement: The incumbent in thisposition will frequentlyassess the operations of the loan/grant process set goals develop metricsand implement necessary changes to ensure this role will be responsible for assessing andrevising existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)and developing newSOPs.
AdministrationSupport: The MWIFA Deputy Director collaborates with the MWIFADirector on policy matters developing program marketing strategiesandMWIFAs overall operations. This includes engaging with both internaland external stakeholders to ensure MWIFA effectively supports communities byproviding the necessary financing to protect public health and improve waterquality in the Chesapeake Bay and all of Marylands waterways.
Supervision: Thisposition involves comprehensive supervisory duties including assigning andreviewing work approving leave requests conducting performance evaluationsand participating in the interviewing process as needed. The incumbent will also be responsible formanaging day-to-day operations setting annual goals mentoring staff andassessing work performance.

Education:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in PublicAdministration Finance Business Administration Environmental or PublicPolicy Law or a related field is required.
Experience: Five (5) years of senior-level experience managing financialoperations for a professional organization to include budget management budgetanalysis and/or overseeing water infrastructure capital budgets.
Two (2)of this experience must include the supervision of financial staff.
