About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic experienced nursing leader to be the next Nurse Unit Manager of our 22 bed inpatient Haematology/Oncology unit.
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is a professional and clinical leader in Cancer Services and plays a pivotal role in leading and inspiring all nurses in the inpatient 6W team to maintain and promote the professional standards of Nursing Practice within the unit. The NUM will be responsible for ensuring that the nursing values and specialised practice standards safety standards and operational resources of 6W are in place to promote safe patient-centered care. The NUM will directly report to the Operations Manager of Cancer Services.
Lead nursing staff and other health care professionals in the delivery of the highest standard of patient care which incorporates the mission and values of the Sisters of Charity.
Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff
Drive innovation and continuous improvement with reviewing systems/processes implement changes through audits reporting and quality initiatives
Classifications for this position will range fromNM11 - NM12($126074 - $130509.60 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
Demonstrated nursing leadership experience
Proven ability to lead exceptional safe patient centered care
Degree in Nursing which meets AHPRA registration requirements
Post-graduate qualification in Cancer Nursing
Completed (and current competency) to ADAC course
