Job Summary

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this post is to The CNM will be part of the multi-disciplinary team that delivers care to the children referred to the Spinal service outsourced to external hospitals.

The role of the CNM is to provide support for parents and children in this service

Provide education and training to parents and children.

Be a resource for colleagues allied professionals.

Be an advocate for the patient and ensure competence in area of specialty practice.

Be responsible for the provision of a nursing education and management consultation service in all areas of child and adolescent

Essential Criteria:

Be registered on the Childrens Division and/orthe General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.

Have at least 2 years post registration experience of which 1 year must be within the specialty

Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level
