We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Level 1 IT Support Help Desk Technician to join our growing firm and provide onsite support to our team members in our Tallahassee office location. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving helping others and contributing to a collaborative IT team.
In this role you will provide technical assistance to our employees and contractors across multiple offices and remote locations while also serving as the onsite resource for our Tallahassee office. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues setting up equipment and ensuring timely responses to support requests.
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow in their IT skills possess excellent communication skills a customer-service mindset and an aptitude for troubleshooting basic technical issues with laptops and other equipment. Training and mentoring will be provided. This position will be the primary onsite technician for our team in the Tallahassee office and contribute to supporting team members across all offices and those working remotely.
This position works collaboratively as a member of the IT Support team and reports directly to the IT Support Manager. The person in this role will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily firmwide operations. The firm uses Microsoft Entra Intune Power Automate and other Microsoft tools to automate tasks and software installations. Training will be provided for the use of Microsoft administrative tools RMM tools and security and network monitoring tools.
*The hourly rate for this position will be between $20.00 - $25.00/per hour based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field; OR equivalent practical experience which may include internships coursework certifications or home lab projects.

- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate issues when needed
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Optional Skills:
- Basic networking understanding
- Experience with remote desktop or report support tools
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) Intune or Power Automate
- CompTIA A or similar certification (in progress or completed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical Support: Respond to help desk requests via phone email or ticketing system ensuring timely and efficient resolution or escalation of issues related to hardware software and networking.
- Install and Configure Equipment: Set up workstations laptops printers and other peripherals.
- User Account Management: Create modify and deactivate user accounts in Entra Active Directory Office 365 and other firm systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records in the help desk ticketing system and contribute to internal knowledge base materials.
- Security Awareness: Promote safe IT practices by educating staff on phishing password management and data security.
- Inventory Management: Track hardware and software inventory ensuring equipment is properly maintained updated and documented.
- Collaborate with IT Team: Work closely with the IT team to escalate complex issues and implement technological upgrades or improvements.
Work Environment:
- Location: Tallahassee office-based with very little potential travel between office locations. Due to the on-site need when issuing equipment and managing equipment in the office this position will not have the option to work from home.
- Schedule: Standard business hours with occasional after-hours support if outages are scheduled.
- Travel: Potential to travel to other office locations but primary responsibilities will be on-site in Tallahassee.
- Team Culture: Candidate will be in Tallahassee FL while being part of a larger IT team across multiple cities. We use technology to keep an open line of communication work collaboratively and support others.
