Reporting to the Executive Director this role oversees budgeting financial policy and reporting funding agreements audit readiness and organizational risk management. The Director also leads core operational functions including facilities procurement transportation technology and staff pay and benefits while supporting the strategic direction of the Board.
This role works closely with school administrators senior leadership trustees government partners and Yukon First Nations to ensure that financial and operational decisions are transparent values-based and support strong learning environments across the Territory.

What You Bring
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent
- 7 years of progressive leadership experience in financial management with responsibility for organizational-level budgeting reporting and strategic planning ideally in the public sector non-profit Indigenous governance or education system
Proven experience leading finance and operations teams building capacity and mentoring staff in financial systems processes and literacy
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing financial policies multi-year budgets funding agreements and audit-ready financial controls
Strong knowledge of financial systems reporting platforms and data-driven decision-making tools with the ability to evaluate and improve operational processes
Ability to translate complex financial information into clear accessible language for senior leadership trustees governments and communities
An equivalent combination of education anddirectly relatedexperience will be considered.
