The Role:
This key role involves overseeing the development and implementation of industrial water and wastewater treatment projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing activities from the initial bidding stages to detailed design and project execution.
This is Sydney or Melbourne based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Management: Provide technical direction and expertise in the design development integration and maintenance of applications
- Partner / M&A Integration & Strategic Growth: Support the integration of new partners or newly acquired companies by aligning technical capabilities solutions and systems with Xylem operations
- Design Management: Oversee and coordinate the development of technical designs during pre-construction and early project stages
- Bid Management: Lead the technical contribution to bids tenders and proposals ensuring solutions are competitive feasible and aligned with customer requirements
- Project Management: Manage the delivery of project scope including order loading design management procurement installation supervision and commissioning
- People Management: Lead mentor and develop a team of application engineers bid and proposal engineers and process design staff
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in the industrial water/wastewater sector with a strong background in treatment processes
- Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully communicate with customers
- Strong understanding of treatment processes such as Ultrapure Water High Purity Water Reverse Osmosis CEDI and Ultrafiltration
- Experience negotiating and managing commercial terms and conditions is desirable
- Moderate level of regional and state travel is required which includes field site work and customer engagement
