Join our Group Finance team as an Indirect Tax Manager and help shape the future of property-related VAT compliance and advisory work across a diverse portfolio of commercial residential and purpose-built real estate assets. This is a dynamic opportunity to work closely with business units and senior stakeholders providing expert guidance and driving process improvements in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
This role is a 6 month fixed term contract.
What youll be doing:
- Advising business units on VAT implications of property transactions and projects
- Supporting VAT compliance activities including registrations de-registrations and Option-to-Tax
- Assisting with Partial Exemption Special Method applications and liaising with HMRC
- Contributing to VAT process improvement and transformation initiatives
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of UK VAT and related property taxes
- Communicating complex tax issues clearly to non-specialists across the business
- Building relationships with finance and business contacts to manage indirect tax matters
- Delivering training and support on VAT technical and process topics to finance teams
Qualifications :
Who were looking for:
- CTA ACA ACCA or equivalent qualification with manager-level experience
- Strong UK VAT knowledge especially in property transactions and fund structures
- Ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and senior leaders
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing third-party relationships
- Commercial awareness and sound judgement in property-related VAT matters
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across varied audiences
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and mitigate risks
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
