What Youll Do

• Oversee environmental monitoring (EM) activities including sampling of cleanrooms compressed gases and water systems
• Conduct microbial identification and acceptance testing of microbiological culture media
• Maintain microbiology productivity databases and generate trend reports
• Lead investigations into microbiological deviations and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment and compliance with GMP standards
• Supervise and mentor microbiology analysts and group leaders
• Manage onboarding training and scheduling for second-shift operations
• Apply Lean principles to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Microbiology Life Sciences or related field
• Minimum 3 years of microbiology lab experience including EM in a GMP setting
• At least 3 years of leadership experience in technical or lab environments
• Strong understanding of microbiological testing EM protocols and compliance standards
• Proven ability to coach and develop staff while managing operations
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship
• Willingness to relocate to Rensselaer relocation support is available

Additional Details: 

This is a full-time onsite position based on a second shift schedule (Monday through Friday 2 pm- 10:30 pm) with occasional weekends and overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Rensselaer NY are strongly encouraged to apply.
