Job Summary

2nd Shift - Xray Lead

PURPOSE:

A Lead in addition to performing normal duties in their job classifications takes a leadership role guiding and directing work to a team of an assigned work area. Performs duties with limited supervision. Daily and weekly instruction and priorities are established and communicated by direct supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Prioritize and assign work to meet weekly ship requirements.
Effectively utilize personnel skillsets in finishing to complete work efficiently.
Ensure all personnel adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures.
Support initiatives to reduce scrap and rework and actively support continuous improvement initiatives.
Report all issues having a negative impact on productivity performance such as unacceptable work behaviors and performance.
Provide pro-active employee support within the team. This includes but is not limited to ensuring all employees in Finishing have the proper PPE tooling and work instructions.
Coordinate workflow to meet daily production goals.
Executes the daily thruput plan adjusting as necessary.
Assist in meeting variable cost budgets for work area for materials and supplies.
Instill safe work practices in employees in team. Train in use of PPE and safe work practices. Identify and report on unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
Ensure all 6S initiatives are understood and completed by all Xray Employees.
Assist in the development and execution of training guidelines.
Meet internal / external customer requirements to deliver product on time and within specification.
Proactively cooperate between teams / work areas and share resources when needed to meet plant goals and objectives.
Ensure all company rules and regulations are followed.
Actively supports all management policies programs and procedures.
Performs other duties of greater or lesser complexity as required by the position or assigned by supervision.
Provide proper OJT using established training guidelines and procedures.
Meet internal / external customer requirements to deliver product on time and within specification.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

General knowledge of company policies and procedures and their application to cases not previously covered.
Duties require considerable judgment and the ability to work independently toward results.
Makes related decisions guided by precedent and within limits of established policies.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Word.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to the Xray Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Thorough knowledge of investment casting methods and procedures. This includes materials conditions processes and controls.
High School Diploma/GED.
Five years of experience in a manufacturing role.
