As Early Careers Talent Acquisition Lead you will play a pivotal role to be responsible for liaising with the Early Careers development team to support early career events to include career fairs and assessment days ensuring a positive experience for candidates as well as an effective recruitment tool for
the managers. Working with the Talent Resourcing Team this role will see the process through to offer stage - selling the benefits of the organisation and responding to queries. The Early Careers Talent Resourcing Advisor will help facilitate stronger connections and input on strategy with highlighted target universities/schools through coordination with the outreach team and Early Careers team to ensure candidates engage with UKAEA throughout their studies. This role will contribute to the review and development of Early Careers recruitment processes and procedures to ensure efficiency compliance and fairness is continually addition this role will be responsible for seeking continuous feedback from the business with regards to the implementation and suggestions of new Early Careers Resourcing solutions
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support Early Careers with the gathering predicted resourcing needs in line with talent acquisition and workforce planning initiating the forecast for early talent intake numbers and disciplines.
- As an expert within Smart Recruiters create adverts relevant to the audience - promoting diversity and eliminating any bias to ensure UKAEA stand out as an employer of choice for early talent.
- As part of the Early Talent team advise on and support hiring managers on a wide variety of aspects within the recruitment cycle from role approval appropriate attraction and selection strategies initial pre sift of candidates shortlisting guidance for interview assessment/interviewing and offer management always ensuring consistent best practice and compliance.
- Responsible for training and awareness sessions for all panel members assigned for the upcoming EC recruitment campaign whilst roles are live outlaying commitments to timescales to ensure the recruitment process is clear as well as their obligations to carry out tasks at certain times.
- Provide training coaching guidance and support to hiring managers on Smart Recruiters (applicant tracking system) advising on recruitment best practice. Coach managers in best practice interviewing skills when interviewing with them and through formal training.
Qualifications :
Essential Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Early Careers schemes and the UKAEA benefits to new starters
- Certificate in HR Practice/CIPD Foundation award in Resourcing Talent or equivalent.
- Extensive experience of coordinating in-house/agency recruitment campaigns for multiple roles.
- Experience of using social media tools to develop employer brand and candidate sourcing
- Experience of working with/coordinating an Applicant Tracking System
- Knowledge of all recruitment related employment law and best practice
- Knowledge and experience of assessment tools and methods
- Track record of making improvements to early careers recruitment practices gaining buy in for these changes and supporting/coaching managers to follow them
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Desirable
- Competent in visa requirements for eligibility to sponsor or recruit to EC schemes
