We are seeking a highly skilled (Senior) MEP Project Manager to join our team in Madrid Spain specialising in data centre this pivotal role you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) systems integration in our cutting-edge data centre projects. As part of the strategic partnership between CBRE and Turner & Townsend this role will be based within CBRE Project Management S.A.
- Lead and coordinate MEP design and construction activities for data centre projects ensuring alignment with project goals and client requirements
- Develop and manage project schedules budgets and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and optimise MEP system performance
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress quality control and compliance with safety standards
- Analyse and mitigate project risks implementing proactive solutions to potential challenges
- Ensure compliance with local building codes regulations and industry standards for data centre construction
- Oversee the commissioning and testing of MEP systems guaranteeing optimal performance and energy efficiency
- Prepare and present detailed project reports including progress updates and financial forecasts to senior management and stakeholders
- Implement and maintain best practices for sustainable and energy-efficient data centre design and construction
Qualifications :
- Degree in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in MEP project management focusing on data centre construction
- Extensive knowledge of MEP systems data centre infrastructure energy efficiency strategies and high-voltage electrical substations
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera) AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Strong understanding of Spanish building codes and regulations related to data centre construction
- Excellent budget management risk assessment and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders
- Fluency in English and Spanish
