ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support stations with proper accounting procedures compliance and training
- Assist RVP and DDs in monitoring operating KPIs that impact station profitability
- Review Global Trade AR Summary reports showing status on past due amounts by location/client and proactively engage with account managers to address collections and credit issues
- Assist RVP and DDs in monthly review of SGA to ensure accuracy of P&Ls from a cost accrual perspective and identification of trends
- Interact with stations and corporate departments to ensure a clean daily weekly monthly quarterly financial close process around payables receivables invoicing and cost accrual including assistance with high margin and other analysis as needed
- Assist RVP and DDs with annual budget and forecasting process
- Streamline and improve operational accounting processes
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Job requires the ability to use vision adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen
- Job may require extended sitting or standing use of standard office equipment.
- Job will require presence on-site at the assigned work location
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Access.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage small team locally while engaging station managers remotely. Must be willing to engage in all aspects of credit control/ cash application while the company grows.
- Proven success in driving down past due amounts and DSO figures.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to deal with a start -up company and the challenges that come from rapid growth
- Ability to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university required or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in general ledger management and financial planning and analysis
- 1 year of experience in internal control and internal check system relative to credit and collections
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
Certification may be required in some areas.
