What Youll Do

As a Commodity Buyer within our Global Powertrain Procurement team youll take ownership of a defined group of commodities driving cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance improvements. Youll support material planning enhancements and contribute to the development of procurement strategies aligned with short medium and long-term business goals. This role offers a clear path to progression into a Commodity Manager position for the right candidate.

Youll be responsible for creating commodity strategies managing supplier relationships issuing RFQs and tenders and identifying opportunities for commercial gain. Youll also monitor market trends negotiate contracts and ensure supplier performance through scorecards and stakeholder engagement.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for a commercially astute procurement professional with at least 3 years experience in a similar role. Youll have strong negotiation and supplier management skills excellent communication abilities and the confidence to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams. A professional qualification in Purchasing or Supply (e.g. CIPS) or a relevant business degree is preferred.

Bonus if you have:

• Business or Engineering university degree
• Relevant procurement and engineering qualifications
• Fluent English and proficiency in common IT systems
