Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Centralized Resources (Float) the successful applicant will float between Brantford General Hospital departments and The Willett Hospital (Paris). The incumbent must meet the following:

Education Requirements

Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Demonstrated excellence in patient assessment and care planning
Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts

Mandatory Competencies

Safety (patient worker & workplace) is a BCHS Corporate Priority. The successful applicant will demonstrate good stewardship in the identification reporting and mitigation of unsafe acts or conditions.

Preferred Competencies

Recent Medical and (or) Surgical nursing experience
Critical Care and (or) Emergency experience an asset
Advanced patient assessment and arrhythmia interpretation courses an asset
Demonstrated competence in patient assessment and care planning
Member of RNAO
Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts
