Qualifications/Description:
- Must meet district Teacher Assistant (TA) requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Highly Qualified status as required by No Child Left Behind and the Individuals with Disabilities ActAssociates Degree or have scored at least a 4 in math or reading and a 3 or better in writing on the WorkKeys test or ETS Parapro Assessment with a passing score of 460.
- Consistent and punctual attendance
- Ability to be flexible with varying student needs and schedule changes
- Provide support to students within general education
- Effective communication skills with a variety of staff and students
- Ability to work with children in a caring nurturing manner
- Demonstrates flexibility teamwork and organization
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Hard working and team player
- Ability to monitor and manage student behavior
- Technology literate
- Ability and willingness to perform recess monitoring bus loading/unloading and lunchroom supervision as necessary
- Ability to follow implement and document all aspects of Positive Behavior Intervention Plan
- Perform all other duties assigned by the classroom teachers and Principal
