Job Summary

Rotokawau Virginia Lake Aviary

The feathered friends at our Aviary require a super organised carer to keep a close eye on their health and wellbeing and to ensure their home is kept vibrant and clean. This position is based within the Aviary and on the Reserve at Rotokawau Virginia Lake.

The hours of work are: 8am - 12 noon Saturday and Sunday (4 hours per day) for two weekends every six weeks. There is also the possibility of additional casual days/staff cover as required.

You will require a full license and your own vehicle as you will be required to travel to town at times to collect food for the birds.

Experience with aviary birds/bird husbandry or vet nursing training would be an advantage as is the ability to work within a small team.
