Job Summary

Mō tō mātou rōpū  About the team 

The Student Hubs team is the physical gateway to the Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland. We provide a welcoming friendly and mana-enhancing service for future and current students across their student journey. 

We deliver a wide range of services to support students on their journey at Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland. Our primary function is to deliver high quality in-person and online services that support students holistically. Our services include: 

  • guidance and advice on being a student 
  • navigating the University systems spaces and processes 
  • exploring study options 
  • application and enrolment support 
  • Library & Student IT services 

 

Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity  

We are hiring a group of Casual Student Hub Assistants to work primarily at the City Campus Student Hub. We are seeking individuals who can start immediately and support us during our busy period. 

These roles will focus on supporting students to navigate SSO and enrol into their courses for the year ahead. On-the-job training will be provided across the first two weeks of employment. 

The position offers an hourly rate of $29 per hour with an additional 8% holiday pay. Shift times durations and days will be varied and based on service needs.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are current students at the University of Auckland in their second year of study or above
  • Are available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week across the contract period across Monday-Friday 8AM-8PM
  • Work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic
