Our Conservation Programs Heritage and Regulation team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Manager Flood Program to lead the delivery of the Urban Flood Risk Management Program across NSW. This role sits within the Marine Coast Estuary and Flood team and is responsible for overseeing operational policy technical support and coordination of regional flood program delivery.
Youll manage a team providing strategic oversight and policy advice on the NSW Urban Flood Program ensuring a consistent state-wide approach to floodplain management. The role involves working closely with planning emergency services and local government to support flood risk reduction and build community resilience. Youll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on delivering practical solutions and continuous improvement in flood program outcomes.
About You
You bring deep experience in floodplain management environmental planning or water-related programs with a solid understanding of how government policy and operational delivery intersect. Youve led multidisciplinary teams and worked across regional and state contexts providing technical guidance and strategic direction to support flood risk reduction. Your ability to interpret complex data develop practical solutions and manage program delivery makes you a trusted advisor to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Youre a collaborative leader who builds strong relationships with councils emergency services and other government agencies. You communicate clearly manage competing priorities and bring a calm solutions-focused approach to complex challenges. Youre comfortable navigating policy budgets and performance targets and youre committed to delivering programs that improve community resilience and environmental outcomes.
