We are seeking a strategic Outpatient Pharmacy Director to lead our nine outpatient pharmacies across St. Lukes Health System.
The Outpatient Pharmacy Director is responsible for directing pharmacy services to ensure effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to patient and customers of the medical center. The scope of responsibility for the Pharmacy Director includes operational responsibility for larger facilities (>100 beds) or multiple departments and service line responsibilities that span across the health system.
What You Can Expect
- Provide day to day oversight of the pharmacy team.
- Provide leadership guidance counseling and continuing education to pharmacy team. Select develop coach mentor and assess performance of staff.
- Assist in the development and administration of departmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement quality assurance standards performance improvement activities.
- Serve as clinical mentor and provide clinical pharmacy leadership to pharmacists in their daily patient care functions.
- Assure compliance of pharmacy services with policy and regulatory agencies.
- Develop monitor and work effectively within established budgets.
- Lead within organizational structures to improve medication use outcomes through clinical pharmacy services staffing deployment and technology.
- Work closely with hospital leaders to optimize pharmacy services for patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary work teams.
- Coordinate implementation of strategic goals projects and programs affecting the department.
- Serve as designated accountable leader for the organization (i.e. PIC RPD) as assigned by role and scope of responsibility.
- Develop new clinical programs or service lines.
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Five (5) years experience (MBA or Pharmacy Residency in lieu of two years experience)
- Valid Idaho Pharmacist License
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Residency in community and/or ambulatory care
- Apexus 340B Advanced Certified Expert (ACE) certification
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (or equivalent process improvement training)
- Change Management experience or training
- Experience with multi-facility management
