The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) seeks to fill a Summer EBT Program Supervisor. This full-time permanent position is based in Olympia Washington. The position may be eligible for partial to near full-time telework. Telework is a combination of in-building and off-site days. After youve completed your initial training you may have the option to work part of the week from home on a flexible telework schedule. While were happy to offer this balance of in-office connection and telework flexibility this isnt a fully remote position. To be eligible youll also need to reside in the state of Washington.We encourage interested candidates to visit the OSPI website to gain insight into our agency.

Position Overview

This position supports the ongoing implementation and operations of the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (SEBT) program for the state of Washington. Administration of the program involves working closely with the Washington state Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) the lead agency for SEBT. OSPI facilitates partnerships with DSHS School Districts and others that allow eligible children enrolled in schools participating in the National School Lunch Program to receive SEBT benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Partners with the lead agency to lead the development of annual goals objectives and performance measures.
• Uses data-driven analysis to implement this new federal program and to support continuous program improvement.
• Establish and maintain effective professional partnerships work groups and collaborative relationships.
• Develops program communications training and resources and provides training to school districts.
• Provides outreach and expert technical assistance to school districts.
• Works with lead agency to develop effective business processes and technology solutions used to administer program and deliver benefits to children.
• Prepares all federal and state reports.
• May serve on state and national committees promoting best practices for Summer EBT.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree from accredited university in public administration social services public health or nutrition or closely related field.
• Three years paid professional-level experience in planning administering developing or delivering health social or financial services programs.
• Equivalent professional experience may substitute year for year for required education.
• Experience using management information systems and databases to gather store and make decisions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong managerial analytical and technical knowledge of federal programs.
• Experience with implementing new programs project management and prioritizing tasks.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating informational resources communications and delivering training to groups of varying sizes.
• Experience working across state agencies and forming partnerships with groups.
• Experience using Microsoft suite programs/tools and programmatic research skills.

Compensation
The annualcompensation for the position is$80870-$95147per year and depends upon experience educational background and qualifications. Geographic differentials may be applied based on work location of successful candidate.
