Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Source direct materials for projects and workshop operations.

  • Arrange inspections and certification renewals for statutory equipment (e.g. lifting gears lifting equipment).

  • Experience and knowledge in sourcing fabrication and machining of equipment and tools.
  • Experience and knowledge in sourcing various grades of raw materials including hull structural steel pipes fittings fasteners etc.
  • Identify select and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best cost quality and service.

  • Plan delivery schedules expedite orders and maintain alternate sources of supply.

  • Manage purchase order processes in line with ISO standards including documentation and filing.

  • Support administrative tasks such as document matching record control and reporting.

  • Recommend improvements in purchasing practices to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards (OHS requirements).

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Logistics Supply Chain Marine Engineering Purchasing or related field.

  • At least 2 years relevant experience (or 5 years with O-Level qualification).

  • Knowledge of sourcing fabricated/machined equipment tools and raw materials (steel pipes fittings fasteners etc.).

  • Experience in procuring services for facility maintenance and subcontracting jobs.

  • Strong negotiation supplier management and organizational skills.
