The project and your role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to play a crucial role as a bridge between the core DevOps team and the development teams working on our B2B e-commerce web application.

Your primary mission will be hands-on support and automation across the development lifecycle ensuring smooth infrastructure operations accelerating feature deployment and maintaining system reliability in development staging and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support to the development team across all CI/CD pipelines build processes deployments and environment setup.
  • Design implement and optimize automation tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain pipelines deployment automation scripts and testing workflows utilizing tools like Octopus and Helm.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues quickly and effectively across development staging and production environments.
  • Collaborate closely with the core DevOps team to implement new technologies and drive large-scale infrastructure improvements.
  • Maintain and enhance existing infrastructure supporting the B2B application.
  • Assist in containerizing applications and managing Docker images across environments.
  • Support smooth code integration using version control systems like Git and TFS.

Your skills

  • Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Expertise in Docker and working knowledge of container management/deployment within Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with deployment automation using Octopus and package management with Helm.
  • Working experience with Kafka for message queuing and data streaming solutions.
  • Proficiency in managing source control and integration using Git and TFS.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining IIS (Internet Information Services) environments.
  • Ability to provide critical support across all environments and act as a reliable point of contact for infrastructure issues.

Desired Skills & Knowledge (Nice to Haves):

  • Experience with monitoring stacks including Grafana Prometheus Splunk and log shippers like Fluentbit.
  • Familiarity with artifact repository managers like Nexus and security scanning tools like SonarCube (good to know).
  • Exposure to load balancing (Netscaler) and alternative message brokers (ActiveMQ).
  • Knowledge of modern build automation tools like Nuke (Ggood to know).
