Social Care Worker Ireland

About the Role
We are seeking passionate and qualified Social Care Workers to join residential and community-based care services across Ireland. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in peoples lives by supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities mental health needs or challenging behaviours in a person-centred empowering environment.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote independence inclusion and dignity providing both practical and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to service users in line with individual care plans
- Assist in developing life skills social skills and community integration
- Promote independence participation and positive behaviour management
- Liaise with families nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary reviews
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and safeguarding procedures
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Social Care (minimum Level 7) or a closely related field (Applied Social Studies Psychology Social Work Disability Studies etc.)
- Previous experience in a social care residential or community setting (1 year preferred)
- Fluent English (written & spoken)
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate and professional approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
- EU citizenship or valid work permit for Ireland (strict requirement)
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary: 36000 - 45000 (depending on experience and location)
- Additional premiums for night/weekend shifts
- Training & professional development (including funded QQI or postgraduate courses)
