Program commercialP&CUnderwriteris responsible forthe profitable growth of the CommercialP& are focused on developing successful broker relationships and writing and renewing profitable Commercial willmaintainthe underwriting integrity of theCommercialP& will work closely with the Program Analysts to ensure program growth and profitability.

What will you do

Responsible forproviding great service and fostering relationships which can enable trading of commercial business to improve the commercialprogramsportfolio.
Provide operational instruction to Associate underwritersor support will provide guidance which is within your own authority and encourage critical thinking and promote a solution-oriented approach
Responsible foryourtime management and desk management as well as meeting service level agreementswith guidance and coaching provided by yourmanager.

What will you need to succeed

A minimum of 3 years of commercial underwriting experience
University degree college diploma or equivalent experience
Enrollment in or completion of the CIP and/or FCIP
Ability to be comfortable with change while also promoting change to continuously improve the teams operational effectiveness and efficiency
Proven experience providing genuine customer service to broker partners by presenting commercial insurance solutions specific to the needs of the client
Proficient underwriting skills sound judgement decision making negotiation and analytical ability
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision
Proficient skill with computer applications including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Location:Were a hybrid team that thrives on the energy and value of in-office collaboration. This role offers the best of both worlds with 2 days a week spent in our vibrant offices in Cambridge or Toronto.
