Job Summary

Job Objective/Summary: The Staff Educator must possess a good working knowledge of the nursing process and demonstrate sound clinical skills. Maintains a program to provide on-going staff education and orientation. Is responsible for the continuity of physicians orders rounds list resident and employee health (TB) records and licensure records. Assures all in services required by state and federal governments are presented to staff. Functions as charge duty nurse as necessary. Provides education and in service for Assist direct care staff and NA in Training staff throughout shift Maintain OTC medication orders and stock med rooms C.N.A. Class Instructor and coordinate C.N.A testing. Department Head On-Call Rotation.

Job Education Licenses/Certifications Knowledge & Experience: Must be a graduate of an approved state school of nursing and currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of Arkansas. Must hold a valid and active license in good standing as an LPN in the state of Arkansas. Familiar with educational requirements of state federal OLTC CDC OSHA OBRA and ADA regulations. Strong knowledge of nursing principals practices and procedures. Compassionate patient-centered approach.
