Job Summary

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (3) of their properties in Bloomington MN. The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in residential maintenance experience with unit turns appliance repairs plumbing issues have knowledge of basic maintenance be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. Boilers license/certifications are highly preferred for this role. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (3) buildings and 200 units affordable/income restricted.

Salary: $25-$27/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday Friday 8/9am 4/5pm flexible schedule but full time (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains repair/replace leaking faucets remove/replace caulking replace different components of toilets adjust/replace door closures and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

2 years experience in residential maintenance.
Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
Experience with boilers (certifications/licenses are highly preferred).
Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation as this role will be roving between properties.
