AWS DevOps Engineer - Up to 400 per day
Fully Remote - Globally
6 Month Contract
You will play a key role in designing implementing and managing robust cloud-based infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive automation CI/CD adoption and cloud best practices across a variety of projects. Bringing your deep expertise in AWS and DevOps you will help deliver secure scalable and resilient platforms for our clients ranging from fast-growing start-ups to public sector organisations.
Key Responsibilities AWS Cloud DevOps Automation
- Design build and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. CloudFormation Terraform).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and release management.
- Work with development teams to automate operational processes and ensure consistent repeatable delivery cycles.
- Monitor system performance reliability and security on AWS; implement improvements as required.
- Maintain and optimise containerised workloads using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or ECS/EKS.
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud-native networking security and identity management solutions.
- Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis providing actionable insights and remediations.
- Document best practices solutions and operational procedures for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and contribute to solution architecture and design.
Essential Skills and Experience AWS DevOps Infrastructure as Code
- 3 years of hands-on experience working as a DevOps Engineer with significant AWS exposure.
- Strong command of AWS core services (EC2 S3 Lambda IAM VPC CloudWatch etc.).
- Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation and/or Terraform).
- Experience building managing and optimising CI/CD pipelines (e.g. using Jenkins GitLab CodePipeline GitHub Actions).
- Production experience with Docker and at least one orchestration platform (ECS EKS or Kubernetes).
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Shell Python Bash or similar).
- Understanding of cloud security best practices monitoring logging and alerting.
- Experience with source control (Git) and modern collaboration tools (JIRA or equivalent).
