The Role

The successful candidate will teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 35 inspiring students to think deeply about ethical philosophical and spiritual issues. You will join a dynamic department that values inquiry debate and the exploration of ideas while contributing to a culture of intellectual curiosity and academic ambition.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote independent thinking and analytical discussion.
Teach topics across philosophy ethics and world religions tailored to different age groups.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental enrichment initiatives.
Support and guide students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Lead or assist with extracurricular opportunities such as debate clubs ethics workshops and guest lectures.
Play an active role in the wider life of the school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
Have proven experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level (KS3KS5).
Demonstrate a passion for philosophy theology and ethics.
Inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
Be an excellent communicator committed to academic excellence and personal development.
Be a reflective practitioner who contributes positively to a collaborative department.
