Our client a Winnipeg-based Structural Engineering firm is seeking a remote member of the structural engineering team reporting directly to our the Structural Forensics Practice Lead. The Structural Engineer is responsible for conducting field investigations and inspections of structurally damaged buildings and structures and preparation of field notes sketches photos for evidence and site documentation. The Structural Engineer is also responsible for conducting general field reviews of construction to ensure conformance to designs and specifications. This position is responsible for preparing technical reports and scopes of repair for damaged buildings and structures including developing and drafting engineering drawings and plans for required structural repairs. Further this position requires preparation of drawings and preliminary structural design and analysis for new construction and renovation projects.

Qualifications Required:
Graduate of a four-year post-secondary Civil/Structural Engineering Program or equivalent.
Minimum five years of experience in engineering design and construction.
Current registration with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba in good standing.
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Working knowledge and experience in AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
Strong working knowledge and experience with the MB Building Code and CSA standards (particularly CSA O86 Engineering design in Wood).
Strong Working Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
Excellent interpersonal communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
