Senior Contracts Administrator

About the Role:
Our construction contractors client in Australia is seeking for a highly experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to manage both upstream (client) and downstream (subcontractor) contract administration. The ideal candidate will have solid experience handling variations extensions of time negotiations and notifications ensuring all contractual obligations are met accurately and on time.
This role requires someone proactive detail-oriented and confident in client-facing
communications a self-starter who can work independently without any distractions like
internet or blackout issues while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer review and manage contracts with both clients and subcontractors
(upstream and downstream).
Prepare and process variations extensions of time (EOTs) and progress claims in
compliance with contract terms.
Manage and track contract notifications correspondence and documentation.
Support project managers in maintaining accurate cost forecasts budgets and
commercial reports.
Negotiate terms pricing and deliverables with clients and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with Australian construction standards and contract law.
Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships through clear and
professional communication.
Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
Non-Negotiables Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in contract administration within the Australian
construction industry (residential or commercial).
Expert understanding of Australian Standard contracts (AS4000 AS2124
AS4902 or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in upstream and downstream contract management
including variations EOTs claims and notifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and
confident manner when engaging clients and subcontractors.
Reliable work setup stable internet power and quiet environment suitable for
client-facing online meetings.
Proven ability to work autonomously manage competing priorities and meet
deadlines without supervision.
Flawless attention to detail and accuracy in all documentation and
communications.
A proactive solutions-oriented mindset with strong commercial acumen and
negotiation skills.
