Requirements:
Must hold an active unrestricted Pharmacist license with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Must be proficient in computers electronic health records and prescription/order processing systems.
Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Must be able to work on-site; telework is not permitted.
Must be available for on-call coverage one week per month.
Must complete all facility and agency required training prior to or upon assignment.
Completion of all onboarding compliance and background screening steps is mandatory before starting.
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and consultative pharmacy services including DUR dispensing and recordkeeping.
Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory ensuring accurate stock levels and compliance with state regulations.
Check weekly medication carts refill and update orders and process weekly narcotic orders and furlough medications.
Participate in and support the drug inventory control system and maintain proper recordkeeping.
Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient-centered care.
Supervise pharmacy technicians in the absence of the pharmacy director and provide guidance in daily operations.
Maintain compliance with all facility agency and regulatory policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support daily pharmacy operations.
