This role helps to foster self-reliance care for the poor and the needy and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of the Church.
Supports Deseret transportation in helping to maintain the fleet of trucks and other equipment necessary to deliver and store commodities for use at the bishops storehouses and other Welfare facilities.
25% Perform Safety inspections and PM Services. May also initiate services and repairs by ascertaining problems and services
requested. Verifying Warranty and service contract coverage developing estimates writing repair orders and maintaining
customer rapport and records. Creates daily maintenance and repair schedule. Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms
problems and causes discovered as well as repairs and services required. Obtaining approval and entering ROs into service
database system. Order receive and stock parts as needed. Prepare mileage deadline and daily task reports. Manage
information systems including data integrity updates and reports
10% Performs major mechanical work including differentials clutches undercarriages body and steering parts.
40% Diagnose and perform repairs in the following areas: accessories replacement lights electrical systems including starter and
charging systems both hydraulic and air brake systems tires wheels hubs and bearings hydraulic systemsengine cooling and
lubricating systems Heating and A/C Systems power or steam clean equipment prior to repairs as needed.
25% Performs troubleshooting and repairs of complex Electronic ABS and Engine components and systems
