  • Salary relative to experience ranging from $129464 to $142665 superannuation& annual leave loading

We are currently seeking a passionate and data driven professional to join us at DCCEEW as a Senior Climate Risk Analyst within the Governance and Risk team.

About the Role

The Senior Climate Risk Analyst will lead the development and implementation of systems and processes to manage climate-related risks and opportunities. You will ensure that climate risk data is accurate accessible and used strategically for decision-making and compliance with NSW Government frameworks. Your responsibilities include designing data systems maintaining data integrity building analytical tools and providing insights to inform climate risk management. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to embed climate risk into planning projects and decision-making.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong experience in data governance and management with a focus on integrity and accessibility
  • Strong skills in the use of technology to analyse and present complex data
  • Expertise in climate risk management and using data to drive decision-making
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills with experience in building data-driven insights
  • The ability to communicate complex data clearly to stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications (bachelors degree or higher) in relevant field and/or equivalent experience
