Within GR&S the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew property data and client assets. We are the trusted advisors that protect the pride of Vanguard with state-of-the-art security and fraud capabilities.
Domain Architect - Security Senior Specialist:
- Provides architectural leadership in shaping strategic security infrastructure technology programs for the organization.
- Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researches information security standards; conducts system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studies architecture/platform; identifies integration issues.
- Designs the plan of the security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; articulates requirements for local area networks (LANs) wide area networks (WANs) virtual private networks (VPNs) routers firewalls and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs) including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
- Drives the implementation of security systems by confirming intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directs equipment and software installation and calibration; prepares preventive and reactive measures. Creates transmits and maintains keys; allocates resources for technical support; completes documentation.
- Creates test scripts that verifies security systems; validates incident response analyses; develops and conducts training programs.
- Assesses upgrades to security systems; validates security gaps; evaluates enhancements. Prepares system security reports to provide updates on data and trends.
- Educates job knowledge by having a deep understanding of emerging security practices and standards; participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations oversees security awareness programs.
- Communicates complicated technical concepts effectively to a broad group of stakeholders.
- Possesses deep understanding of the competitive landscape and corporate and business unit strategies to provide context for security architectural decision making.
- Consults on cloud security technologies tools and techniques.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
- Minimum of eight years related work experience with at least three years of technology architect experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Certification- CISSP preferred. GSEC preferred.
