Amida Technology Solutions is seeking Deputy Program Manager. This role will report to the Program Manager. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies nonprofit organizations and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights. Selected candidate must be able to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in our DC headquarters office.
What you will do:
- Coordinate 15 cross functional staff comprised of data science software RF cloud and cyber operating in hybrid on prem and GovCloud environments
- Plan and oversee phased radio-infrastructure core KMF and RF subsystem upgrades with minimal downtime including lab staging live cut overs and rollback readiness
- Support day-to-day management of overall contract service operations; organize direct and coordinate the planning and production of contract and program support services on an independent project or as assigned by a larger programs Engagement Director
- Directly manage smaller projects or work on highly complex programs as a part of a larger team; ensure the success of individual programs
- Analyze program-related problems and create improved procedures to ensure tasks are completed effectively
- Implement a project life cycle process and methodology within the organization for Information Technology projects and activities
- Conduct regular planning and review sessions to understand and communicate project interdependence and avoid resource conflicts
- Provide accurate reporting and analysis to determine project results and business impact
- Ensure that task managers plan direct and coordinate activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives are established by the project team and accomplished within prescribed scope timeframes budgets quality objectives and processes.
- Contribute to early identification of project issues and opportunities for product and process improvement
- Manage risk by identifying quantifying monitoring and reporting potential threats to the project
- Coordinate project tasks; oversee the successful completion of all tasks assigned to you or delegated by you
- Conduct gap analysis to ensure that all contractual deliveries are completed and stakeholder requirements are fulfilled
- Ensure customer needs are met through resource allocation project planning and execution
- Produce written deliverables that are clear concise and compliant with the Amida and customers style guide/specifications; edit the work of colleagues; approve final deliverables
- Contribute to the growth of the company through identifying and supporting business development opportunities
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues; organize and assign responsibilities to team members; facilitate a team mentality and open communication
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree with coursework or training in business or public administration
Required Experience:
- 10 years of project management experience with at least 3 years of IT project management experience
- 3 years leading multi-site or mission critical infrastructure programs
- Experience managing high-priority projects that often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration
- Experience overseeing multiple technical workstreams
- Experience managing project scope cost and budget; identifying and managing risk; and providing oversight and executive level management to large government system implementation projects
Required Skills:
- Proficient in collaborating with and communicating to senior level management stakeholders subject matter experts business partners etc. as well as interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users distributors and vendors
- Well-versed in software development lifecycles (SDLC) and project management methodologies especially a hybrid predictive (waterfall)/Agile (Scrum) methodology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to be the person with final signoff on deliverables
- Quality management planning aligned with ISO9001 and CMMI Dev Level 3
- Ability to coordinate RMF Section 508 and NIST 800 53 controls
- Direct leadership of public safety radio modernization programs
- Professional-level writing ability with ability to adhere to and model the company style guide
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- PMP certification
Preferred:
- Ability to travel to a regional office on a monthly or weekly basis (depending on location)
- Flexibility to step into different roles as needed to ensure program success
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations requirements; previous experience working on federal government contracts
- Current Secret clearance
