We are seeking a specialised and experienced HMO Licensing Manager to oversee property compliance licensing and safety standards while leading a small team. The perfect candidate will ensure operational excellence within a busy lettings portfolio.
Our client a respected residential property group in Hendon is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HMO Licensing Manager.
This position is central to maintaining compliance across their lettings portfolio ensuring all properties meet current licensing and safety regulations. Youll manage a small team of Property Managers and work closely with internal departments to deliver a high standard of service to landlords and tenants alike.
What Youll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Audit properties to identify and manage HMO licensing requirements
- Oversee safety checks certificates and remedial works
- Manage and support a team of Property Managers
- Liaise with tenants landlords and contractors to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate maintenance repairs and post-work inspections
- Handle deposit returns and ensure adherence to tenancy regulations
- Manage rental arrears and resolve tenant/landlord disputes
- Instruct and oversee eviction requests when required
- Monitor team performance and conduct regular one-to-one reviews
- Maintain company compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
What Were Looking For (Skills & Experience):
- Strong understanding of HMO licensing processes and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in property management or lettings ideally within an HMO environment
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent results
- Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach
- Proficiency with property management software (experience with Qube advantageous though training can be provided)
