We are seeking a specialised and experienced HMO Licensing Manager to oversee property compliance licensing and safety standards while leading a small team. The perfect candidate will ensure operational excellence within a busy lettings portfolio.

Our client a respected residential property group in Hendon is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HMO Licensing Manager.

This position is central to maintaining compliance across their lettings portfolio ensuring all properties meet current licensing and safety regulations. Youll manage a small team of Property Managers and work closely with internal departments to deliver a high standard of service to landlords and tenants alike.

What Youll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

Audit properties to identify and manage HMO licensing requirements
Oversee safety checks certificates and remedial works
Manage and support a team of Property Managers
Liaise with tenants landlords and contractors to ensure smooth operations
Coordinate maintenance repairs and post-work inspections
Handle deposit returns and ensure adherence to tenancy regulations
Manage rental arrears and resolve tenant/landlord disputes
Instruct and oversee eviction requests when required
Monitor team performance and conduct regular one-to-one reviews
Maintain company compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards

What Were Looking For (Skills & Experience):

Strong understanding of HMO licensing processes and compliance requirements
Proven experience in property management or lettings ideally within an HMO environment
Confident communicator with excellent organisational and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent results
Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach
Proficiency with property management software (experience with Qube advantageous though training can be provided)
