The Role
As aQualityAssuranceAnalystII you havea solid foundation in software testing and a strong drive for quality. As a mid-level QA professionalyouplay a key role in planning designing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the functionality and stability of our public safety willcollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality across the software development lifecycle.This role will be aligned with Incident response and CADproducts and will be on the front lines of driving quality for police and fire workwill have a direct impact on providing excellent services to our customers and the citizenry theyrepresent.
WhatYoullDo
- Design develop and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans based on product requirements and user stories.
- Evaluate that test case acceptance criteria has been met.
- Identify document and track software defects through resolution.
- Participate in code reviews design sessions and other Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with developers product managers and DevOps teams to ensure product quality throughout the release cycle.
- Analyze test results generate reports and provide feedback to stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance test scripts frameworks and automation suites.
- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to improving QA best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support teamobjectives departmental needs and overall organizational priorities.
WhatYoullBring
- Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent industry experience and training.
- 2-5years of professional experience in quality assurance or relevant testing role.
- Proficient in writing test cases executing tests and logging bugs.
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium playwright Postmanetc.
- Experience with testingDesktop Applications (WPF)APIs web applications and/or mobile applications.
- Experience withusing test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira Azure DevOps Zephyretc.
- Ability to approach problems methodically and seek solutions with minimal guidance.
- Strong communicationskills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Eagernessto learnnew technologies tools and methodologies.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a criminal background check for CJIS security requirements.
Impress Us With
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps GitHub Actions etc.
- Experience with security and/or performance testing tools such asLoadNinjaInvicti Qualysetc.
- ISTQB or relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with AI tooling in development workflows.
This position requires security clearances due to the nature of our work with public safety agencies.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and must successfully obtain andmaintaina Reliability security clearance from the Government of Canada. Additionally candidates mustcomply withthe FBIs Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy and pass a comprehensive fingerprint-based background check. Please note that specific customer contracts may imposeadditionalsecurity verification requirements. Obtaining andmaintainingall required security clearances is a condition of employment.
